A Scenic Drive Through the Rocky Mountains, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park
Driving along Interstate 70 affords outstanding views of the mountains, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada scenery. From many overlooks you can see over 100 miles on clear days. Through the clear mountain air, you'll appreciate the pine, spruce, fir and aspen.
The contrasts of light and color are startling in the Bryce Canyon area. Look for small trees atop the multicolored hoodoos. In the distance, the rims of southern plateaus and canyons are visible.
Distant panoramas from various points feature the Black Mountains in the northeast and Navajo Mountain in the South. You'll see expansive views of southern Utah. |
