erpentHead is the Windows™ version of the original DOS game! As Sir Mharim, you must infiltrate Castle SerpentHead to uncover the lost SerpentScepter, then use it to defeat the evil wizard Salorann forever! That means uncovering forgotten clues, deciphering ancient riddles, and overcoming obstacles set by the sorcerer himself. You'll have to rely on your wits to solve the many mysteries you'll encounter. With luck, you might find a clue or two left behind by other adventurers. But you can count on running into a few traps, or perhaps a deadly magical creature! You never know what awaits you in SerpentHead!

The game screen features all that you need for your adventure:
The View Window is your first-person window on Castle SerpentHead. You see exactly what Sir Mharim sees. -
The Message Area is where you receive game messages, like room descriptions and messages detailing the results of your actions.

The Item Window lets you see all the items you have discovered on your adventure that you are currently carrying. Click on an item to use it somewhere in the room or on another item. Double-click an item to view it closely.

The Action Buttons are the main part of your easy-to-use character interface! Examine, take, or manipulate manipulate objects in the View Window through any combination of the actions "DO" and "LOOK."

The Movement Buttons complete your character interface. Move Mharim North, South, East, West, or up and down stairs at the click of a button.

Game Options are available at any time through pull-down menus at the top of the game screen. You can save your game, restore a saved game, cycle through the game's music, mute all music and sound effects, or get help on how to play.
n addition, there are special screens for character dialog and action sequences, and some riddles may require you to type in short answers on the keyboard, if you can figure them out!
